Workreport Info/ Required Elective And Elective Subjects
It is the aim of the work report that you embed your experiences and applied methods within the context of the history of art and architecture. Only by recognizing and describing the correlation, the intuitive techniques become knowledge that can be applied to a superordinate, architectural context; thus, it is perfectly suited for your professional career. During the contact with architect’s attitudes, artistic trends or certain designers, you will discover parallels to the subjects of your own draft.
The work report is part of the graded work to be handed in.
Handing in the work report:
1. The printed and bounded work report needs to be handed in at the secretary’s office or the mailbox of the department and
2. Uploaded to L2P as a PDF, incl. 1-3 good photos (jpg-format)

Scope and format of the work report:
The work report comprises 2 to max. 3 written pages in DIN A4. This text is embedded appealingly into a layout with illustrations, sketches, photos, etc. Thus, a booklet about your work in the context of the history of architecture, design and/or arts is created.
The format is between DIN A5 and DIN A4, portrait or landscape format. The front page includes course title, name and current semester!
Outline, content and grading:
1. Design concept
Describing your own design concept (ca. ― page), purposeful illustration of the work.
Graded will be: the formal coherence, replicability, usage of technical terms, layout, quality of illustrations and photos (concept and form)
Integrating your work into the context of the history of architecture, design or arts (ca. 1 page). Describing relevant connections between current and/or historical eras, persons and/or methods and your own work.
Graded will be: the embedding of your own work into the context
Critical and reflected description of your personal experiences. What is the meaning of the acquired and chosen method for the development of your personal design skills? (ca. 1 page)
Graded will be: the (critical) reflection of your own work
The work report represents 25% of the grade of the respective courses.
